How can you pay for your gold or silver?
In order to pay for your buying transactions in precious metals you must pay money into your cash depot at the Stichting Beheer Derdengelden GoldRepublic (SBDG) or you can pay for your buying transactions via IDEAL.
You must specify your choice with regard to the payment method when placing an order.
Payment of a buying transaction via your cash depot
If you pay for your buying transaction with the credit balance in your cash depot, you should ensure before carrying out the transaction, that the balance in your cash depot is sufficient for the payment of the purchase price including all accompanying costs and fees. If the balance in your cash depot is insufficient, your transaction in precious metals shall not be executed or shall only be partially executed.
When your order is executed the amount in connection with your order (purchase price plus the costs and fees) shall be debited from your cash depot.
How can you fund your cash depot?
You fund your cash deposit by logging into your account and clicking on ‘Cash deposit’ button underneath ‘Manage your balance’. Or by transferring funds from a bank account of a recognised banking institution to the clients' funds account of Stichting Beheer Derdengelden GoldRepublic stating your account number and your username. Cash deposits are not possible.
If a transfer is received without an account number, the amount of the transfer is set aside until sufficient clarity has been obtained regarding the corresponding account number. If, in the opinion of GoldRepublic, insufficient clarity is obtained, the amount shall be transferred back to the account from which it was transferred.
As a rule, a money transfer takes 1 to 2 working days. GoldRepublic will check the incoming payments three times a day around 10:00 hours, 13:00 hours or after 17:15 hours. Once your money transfer has been received, the amount will be put into your cash depot.

Payment of a buying transaction via Ideal
If you pay for your buying transaction via IDEAL, the purchase amount and the accompanying costs and fees shall be debited from the bank account that you provided during the payment procedure via IDEAL. Before the transaction, you must ensure that the balance on the bank account in question is sufficient for the payment. If the balance is insufficient, your bank will refuse payment and the transaction in precious metals shall not be executed.
